The flat, belt-like construction of the copper winding wires have led to improvement of performance and reduction in sizing. Those improvements expanded the usage for copper winding wires to be used in various types of components such as cables, sensors, solenoids, transformers, and motors.The benefits of rectangular copper winding wires are: the decrease in distributed capacity which leads to decreased stray capacity, and lamination factor will also be improved (up to 30%) because it will not create gaps unlike winding with round wires.
